Karelian Pie Workshop at Bomba House
Let's bake together! Learn how to roll the dough and crimp the edges under the guidance of a Karelian hostess in the fun Karelian pie workshop at Bomba House. Finally, of course, we’ll enjoy the freshly baked treats — and you can take the rest home with you.
The delicious Karelian Pie Workshop is organized in collaboration with the local artisan bakery, Rautavaaran Leipomo. At Rautavaara, baking is done using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. When these premium ingredients are combined with traditional baking methods, the result is authentic flavors.

Valamo Wine Tasting at Bomba House
Sample the delicious berry wines of the Valamo Monastery in a guided wine tasting!
Held in the restaurant of Bomba House, the tasting includes an aperitif, three wines, and a delicious tasting plate designed by our head chef. Come taste and learn more about wines and Valamo!
Wines and delicacies in the tasting:
Valamo Blue & blue cheese on gingerbread with devil’s pear jam
Valamo Rose & bear meatball, lingonberry mayonnaise, and fried lichen
Valamo Magei & house-made chocolate cake with dark chocolate
Valamo Seraph & crispy baguette, sour cream, and roe
Wine tasting for groups: 30 €/person
Duration: approx. 1 hour
Group size: minimum 11 people
Includes an aperitif, 3 wines, a delicious tasting plate and guidance.
