The award-winning production features the entire Joensuu City Theatre ensemble, contemporary dance students from Riveria Outokumpu, and a five-piece orchestra led by Eve Pietarinen.

Enjoy a traditional Spanish tomato soup, slow-braised beef cheek, and a deliciously moist cake for dessert.

About the Menu

The starter, “Gazpacho andaluz con sorpresa,” is a nod to the iconic scene from Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios (1988), where the gazpacho hides a secret ingredient – in our version, it captivates purely with its flavour.

The main course, “Carne tremula,” takes its name and inspiration from the 1997 film Carne trémula (“Live Flesh”), evoking themes of physicality, vulnerability, and passion on the plate.

The dessert, “Pastel de limón y aceite de oliva con sirope de romero,” a harmonious blend of sweetness and citrus, reflects the spirit of Volver (2006): the bittersweet moments of life, everyday beauty, and the strength of women.
