Puisto’s Roots Run Deep in Tampere
The building that houses Puisto was originally designed to be a park café, though many locals know it better as “the Rosso building.” The original structure, completed in 1966, was designed by architect Timo Penttilä – also known for designing the Ratina Stadium and the Helsinki City Theatre.
This building has served customers for decades and has seen many stories unfold. Today, the tradition continues – year after year, better than ever, always with the customer at heart.
Did you know there’s a giant Canadian poplar growing right next to Puisto? It’s the largest of its kind in Finland and estimated to be around 100 years old!
