Open Mic at VENN in Oulu – Joy of Performing and Freedom of Art
In 2026, Oulu will host a new, year-long program: Open Mic nights at restaurant VENN every other Tuesday starting January 13, 2026. These events provide an accessible stage for anyone who wants to try performing, share their art, and meet other artists. The evenings are open to all art forms. Poetry, spoken word, singing, rap, beatboxing, acoustic music, storytelling, stand-up, improv, dance, mime, or even experimental soundscapes are all welcome on stage. Each performer brings their own voice and perspective – the audience gets to enjoy diverse and surprising performances, while performers receive a safe space to experiment, practice, and shine.
