Egotrippi Embarks on First Club Tour in Seven Years – New Music Coming Early 2026!
Known for numerous hits, Egotrippi will hit the road in spring 2026 for their first club tour since 2018. The nearly 20-show “Jossain täytyy olla päivänvaloo” tour is named after the band’s upcoming single, set for release early next year. Both the new track and the tour will showcase Egotrippi in its refreshed yet classic lineup.
Famous for songs like Matkustaja, Mestaripiirros, Unihiekkaa, and Älä koskaan ikinä, the band is releasing new music for the first time in seven years. The single “Jossain täytyy olla päivänvaloo” will pave the way for the spring tour, which stops at Freetime, Jyväskylä on Friday, April 17, 2026.
“We can’t wait to get back to the clubs – heading full speed toward summer and light!” the band shares.
The upcoming single and tour will feature Egotrippi’s new lineup. Drummer Risto Niinikoski, who joined in 2013, has stepped down, making way for Sampo Haapaniemi, who returns after playing with the band from 1996 to 2013.
Next year marks 30 years since Haapaniemi first joined the band:
“29 years ago, I met these guys for the first time, and that started an incredible journey – countless gigs, albums, and big hits. When Risto announced he was leaving and I was asked to come back, I didn’t have to think twice. Here we go again!” Haapaniemi says.
Egotrippi, whose career includes multiple platinum and gold records, released their debut album in 1995. Their last new music came in 2018 with the Vihellellen EP. In 2020, they released Aina matkalla jonnekin, featuring 13 Egotrippi classics arranged for symphony orchestra. This fall, fans enjoyed new versions of Egotrippi songs and Mikki Kauste’s interpretations on the Vain elämää TV show.
