Ruoska returns with an album
The long-awaited sixth album Kade will be released in February next year. Ruoska will celebrate the album with nine shows across Finland.
Ruoska, which has been producing Finnish industrial metal since 2002, has been gaining strong momentum in recent years. The band's performances have been ecstatic at their best, and audience numbers have grown with each show.
Ruoska is responding to their fans' wishes by releasing new music. The single Ihtiriekko will be released on Friday, October 31.
– Ihtiriekko is a powerful and sad story about real-life tragedies from the past that today's listeners can also relate to. In times gone by, people have tried to explain difficult things through mythology and even fantasy to find comfort in the midst of often very miserable everyday life.
– The music of Ihtiriekko combines heavy sounds, electronic music, and classical elements, Ruoska characterizes the band's current style.
The Kade album will be released in February 2026. Musically, the tracks on the album contain surprising elements, without forgetting Ruoska's characteristic style of creating atmosphere around painful issues or dark thoughts.
– Spring 2026 will be busy for Ruoska. And of course, we're waiting to see how our new music will be received, Ruoska comments.
