Open Mic Nights at Restaurant VENN in Oulu 2026 – the Joy of Performing and the Freedom of Art

In 2026, Oulu will host a new year‑round event series: Open Mic nights at Restaurant VENN every other Tuesday starting on 13 January 2026. These events offer a low‑threshold stage for anyone wishing to try performing, share their art, and connect with other creators.

The evenings are open to all art forms. The stage welcomes poetry, spoken word, singing, rap, beatboxing, acoustic music, storytelling, stand‑up, improv, dance, mime, or even experimental soundscapes. Every performer brings their own voice and perspective – the audience can enjoy a variety of surprising performances, and performers are offered a safe space to try, practice, and shine.

We recommend signing up as a performer in advance, no later than the day before the event! You can also ask about available slots on site. Each performance slot lasts 30 minutes.
