Open Mic at VENN in Oulu – the joy of performing and the freedom of art

In 2026, Oulu will host a new year-round programme: Open Mic nights at restaurant Venn every other Tuesday, starting on 13 January 2026. The events offer a low-threshold stage for everyone who wants to try performing, share their art and meet other creators. The nights are open to all art forms. Poetry, spoken word, singing, rap, beatboxing, acoustic music, storytelling, stand-up, improv, dance, mime and even experimental soundscapes are all welcome on stage. Every performer brings their own voice and perspective – the audience gets to enjoy diverse and surprising performances, and performers get a safe space to experiment, practise and shine.

Sign up in advance for the Tuesday 17 November Open Mic event here Opens in a new tab at the latest on the day before the event! You can also drop by in person to ask about available slots! For your performance, we have reserved one microphone and space to perform. Your performance slot lasts 30 minutes. We do not pay performers a separate fee.

See you at VENN!
