Viola's debut EP release show at Times, with Vera Wall warming up!
Selected as a YleX Noste artist in July 2025, Jyväskylä-based viola's music moves at the intersection of electronic alternative pop and art pop. viola's recognizable sound combines life-flavored stories, synthesizer tones, body-shaking basslines, and bold contrasts in a way that has made an impression on the Finnish indie scene.
The artist's single "valonsäteet eloon saa", released in May, gathered wide media attention through radio plays, radio interviews, and Klang articles, among others. The song also made it onto three Spotify curated playlists: New Finnish Music, New Music Friday Finland, and Finnish Indie Today.
The autumn debut EP brings together viola's musical world so far into a cohesive and personal whole. At the release shows, the audience will experience a powerful and carefully constructed live show and hear the new EP as a live set for the first time, not forgetting previous releases.
Vera Wall is an artist moving at the intersection of alternative pop and cinematic pop, whose recognizable sound combines sensitivity, cinematic atmospheres, and powerful pop melodies. Her music is built on honest lyrics, big emotions, and a strong artistic vision of her own. Vera produces, writes, and composes most of her music herself, which is heard as a strong and recognizable signature in her work.
In June 2026, Vera released her second EP "Helsinki on pilalla", which received radio play and visibility, including an interview in Sound, upon its release. With the release, the artist has strengthened her position as one of the most interesting rising names in Finnish alternative pop.
Wall's 2024-2025 releases "VARO MUA" and "ILLUUSIO" received an excellent reception, gathering over 13 million views on TikTok. The songs have been streamed nearly two million times on Spotify, and Wall was also featured on the cover images of Ensisoitto and Finnish Indie Today playlists, as well as playing on YleX's radio list for a month.
