Due to high demand, Pepe Willberg and Saimaa are returning to their classic album Pepe & Saimaa. The album will be performed on the stage of Olavinlinna Castle with the original giant ensemble, where Pepe and Saimaa will take the stage with the Vantaa Entertainment Orchestra and the alumni choir of Vaskivuori Upper Secondary School. The evening is also unique because Pepe Willberg, one of Finland's most legendary soloists, will celebrate his 80th birthday in 2026.

The evening will begin with Saimaa, which will perform its own production before the Pepe & Saimaa concert. The Pepe & Saimaa album is one of the milestones of Finnish music of this millennium.

"I have great memories of Olavinlinna Castle from the 1990s, from the time of the Savonlinna Opera Festival Choir and when I walked along the stage as the soloist as the dead king in MacBeth. We also had a wonderful Love Records concert in the 2000s, where the audience stomped on the audience with their feet at the end as the applause resounded. I think that with Saimaa we will reach the same feeling and the audience will once again get to experience an amazing concert evening," says Pepe Willberg.

Before the Pepe & Saimaa concert, Saimaa will perform his own production. In 2024, the band, skippered by Matti Mikkola, released two five-star albums within six months. Known as an ecstatic live band, the band's albums Vol. 6 and Vol. 7 have received exceptional praise from both the media and the public. The band also won the Emma Award for Hit of the Year. In the spring of 2026, Saimaa will release his latest album Matka mielen ytimeen vol. 2, which will include cover versions of well-known songs, such as Eppu Normaali's classic Hipit rautaa. The concert at Olavinlinna Castle is carried out by Evenement.
