Yona, who has had an extensive and artistically ambitious career (real name Johanna Rasmus), is heading on a spring tour with her band, which will arrive at Jyväskylä’s Freetime on Friday, April 4th!
Yona’s latest album ‘Eden’ was released through Johanna Kustannus in September 2024. The artist is known for her fearless and unique way of combining different music genres in her music, and her songs are characterized by a personal touch, strong emotional charge, and cinematic proportions.
Yona’s previous album release, the critically acclaimed ‘Uni johon herään’ made with Tapiola Sinfonietta, was awarded the Critics’ Choice Emma and the Teosto Prize. The album was also nominated for the prestigious Nordic Council Music Prize and was performed in its entirety in sold-out concerts across Finland. Yona has also charmed audiences as a star of the TV show ‘Vain elämää’.
